&Rackmount installations are convenient and flexible, but unfortunately, standard 19 inch racks take up a lot of room. Since smaller vessels do not have the luxury of extra space, but still need reliable and easily installed computer systems, MarineNav Ltd developed the Barracuda series. Our proprietary 12” rack uses a fraction of the space 19” racks require, but provides a robust framework and ease of installation.
Our selection of Barracuda computers have been designed to work with the Barracuda Rack system. Built from the ground up to offer maximum performance in a minimum size, the Barracuda series has computers optimized for navigation, security, multimedia, server storage, and more. And since our racks are available in sizes from 2U to 10U, or even larger on request, you can have a custom solution built to fit your exact needs.
If you need to put more than computers into a rack, we also offer accessory trays designed to hold external power supplies, voltage regulators, networking hardware, and other components in 1U and 2U heights to easily expand the capabilities of your Barracuda Rack.
